"Our vision for the future is to empower communities, not elites. They should own, not rent. We want communities to compete not settle. This is the new world, this is the Epoch."

The commissioner in the constitution, Year 2135 (the start of the Epoch leagues)

The Commission

The Commission sought to create a new society, a society built upon a foundation for future cooperation. After the wars, floods, and migration humans have lost trust in each other. For years they could not travel and were mostly secluded from other cultures and contact. The lack of resources affected everyone, quality of life dissipated, and there was only one way to escape this new reality...

The Commission, led by an "elected" official called The Commissioner set out to offer a new way, a new beginning, with a new foundation to cooperate.

This was named the Epoch Era.

The Epoch Leagues

The first order of the Commissioner to start the Epoch Era, was to reconnect the world through a global sports competition. The largest remaining cities would compete and the spoils of victory would be distributed back to those communities. Distribution of wealth through top down competition...

Athletes from all over the world came together to compete, wanting to bring wealth and pride back to their people. Their communities could contribute resources and help strategize in order to reap the rewards of their athletes successes. The fight to rebuild our reality had begun.

And then Epoch Leagues were born...

How the Epoch Leagues work

It is the greatest honor to be selected as a champion athlete. They compete weekly for 1 of the 8 current teams. They represent their people, contributing back their earnings, not taking for themselves.

As an citizen in the Epoch Era, all your decisions matter. Normal people might not be playing in the arena but they benefit from a growing brand, investing in their champion, and doing what his best for them regardless of the circumstances.

Epoch is about shared ownership, a new way to cooperate, a fair playing ground for global communities.
